April 2008 was one of the busiest months ever for Alawar. To begin with, we participated in several industry-related events, including Russian Internet Forum (RIF), Russian Game Developer's Conference (KRI) and Internet and Business Conference (IBC). In addition, the spring was full of pleasant surprises. For starters, we were nominated for a Cnews award in the "Expansion of the Year" category. Also, "Farm Frenzy" was recognized as the "Best Causal Game" at the KRI Awards. We celebrated our success in a variety of ways, including the sponsorship of a behind-the-scenes party. The album contains an assortment of photos from April, shot using a hidden camera to give you a glimpse of how we work and relax.
Cut the cake and hand out the party favors! We celebrated our eighth birthday on April 8, 2007. During our lifespan, we've helped more than 100 developers create and publish over 200 casual games. Today, our games are popular in more than 20 countries thanks to our partnerships with leading online distributors and CD publishers worldwide. The celebration took place at Hard Rock Café Moscow. We want to thank all of our friends for their congratulations and support. You make our partnership fun!

In addition to playing addictive casual games for the PC, participating in contests and leaving with free copies of the Simple Games series (CDs containing casual games created for Russian language countries), attendees were able to play casual games at the "Igokub" machine, a specialized PC-based device that allows users to play casual games by tapping sensory monitors instead of using an ordinary computer mouse.
